Commission a Custom Painting | Denver Artist

I'm currently accepting a limited number of commissioned paintings — original artwork created specifically for your space, told through your story.

Every commission starts with a conversation, not a blank canvas. I'm not just matching a couch or filling a wall — I'm listening for what the piece needs to say. In our initial consultation, we'll talk through where the piece will live, the size that makes sense for the space, and the palette you're drawn to. I'll also ask about your favorites — pieces of mine you've connected with, or other work that's caught your eye — because that tells me more about your story than a mood board ever could. From there, I compile everything into a creative directive that guides the entire process.

Using that storytelling directive, I create three original pieces in parallel from which to choose, each built within your guidelines but uniquely their own, shaped by my own instincts as a painter. Once they're roughly 75–80% complete, I invite you into my studio for the reveal for you to pick your favorite one that we complete.

I do this in person, always. Photos can't capture what a painting actually does in a room — the depth, the texture, the way it shifts with the light, the pull you feel standing in front of it. That connection is the whole point of commissioning original art instead of buying a print, and it only happens face to face.

At the studio visit, you'll choose the piece that resonates most, and I'll bring it to completion — refined, finished, and ready to tell your story in your space.

The Commission Process:

1. Consultation — We discuss placement, size, palette, and the story or inspiration behind the piece. I compile this into a creative directive.

2. Creation — I paint three original pieces based on your directive, you pick your favorite.

3. Studio Reveal — At roughly 75–80% completion, you visit my Denver studio in person to see all three and choose your favorite.

4. Completion — I finish your selected piece to completion.

5. Framing & Delivery — We discuss framing options and coordinate pickup or delivery.

The full process typically takes up to 90 days from consultation to delivery.
